Ethical Guidelines

World Quarterly follows strict ethical guidelines for authors, reviewers, and editors to maintain academic integrity and transparency. These guidelines are designed to promote the highest standards of scientific and ethical conduct in publishing.

For Authors:

  • Originality: Authors must submit original research. Any previously published content must be cited appropriately. The manuscript must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Authorship: All authors who made substantial contributions to the research should be listed, and their contributions should be clearly stated.
  • Plagiarism: Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Authors must ensure that their work does not contain any plagiarized material. We encourage authors to use plagiarism detection tools to check their manuscripts.
  • Data Integrity: Authors should present data and results honestly. Fabrication or falsification of data is a serious breach of academic integrity.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could influence their work.

For Reviewers:

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers should treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Manuscripts should not be shared or discussed with others unless authorized.
  • Impartiality: Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts based on their scientific merit and relevance to the journal’s scope, without bias or personal preference.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that might affect their ability to review the manuscript impartially.

For Editors:

  • Decision-Making: Editors are responsible for making decisions regarding which articles to accept for publication. They should base their decisions on the validity, originality, and relevance of the research.
  • Fairness: Editors must ensure that all manuscripts are reviewed fairly, without discrimination based on authors’ gender, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
  • Transparency: Editors should maintain transparency throughout the publication process and ensure that any potential conflicts of interest are disclosed.
